Most “office in Colombo” ads assume you want to sit near a mall in Colombo 3. Plenty of teams do not. If your staff already live in Malabe, Kaduwela, or Athurugiriya, a Fort lease is a two-hour tax on every standup. Hyatto is in Pittugala. You still serve Colombo clients; you just stop pretending the headquarters must face Galle Face.
The trade is honest. You will not walk to a seafront cafe at lunch. You will park, you will have reception, and you will not wait six weeks for a carpenter to build desks. That is the Malabe side of the comparison.
Visit both if you can: a city shop-house and this building on the same week. Bring your actual commute, not a LinkedIn address. Then pick the room you will still like in month four.
